Recycling Let Down

City Centre Lib Dem Councillor Ken Dobson making use of one of the few recycling points in the city centre.

City Centre Lib Dem Councillors have hit out at the Council's poor recycling provision in the city centre. The row comes after red-faced Town Hall bosses recently admitted they did not have enough trucks to cover the city centre. Cllr Ken Dobson said, "There are currently only two 'bring' sites in the city centre a few apartment blocks are covered by the recycling scheme for residents. This is not good enough and we have called on Town Hall bosses to improve recycling for residents in the city centre". Lib Dems are also campaigning to ensure that major events such as the recent Manchester Pride have recycling facilities.
