Lib Dems want to see more tree planting

Over 150 street trees are to be planted along city centre streets. Many have already started to appear along Princess Street and John Dalton Street. Several more city centre pavements will be transformed during the 3-year programme, including Oxford Road, Whitworth Street West, Portland Street and Deansgate. City FOCUS Editor Elaine Boyes says, "City Centre Liberal Democrat Councillor's have been campaigning for more trees and green spaces in our city. We need to keep up the pressures on the Council to deliver on their promises".
