The Liberal Democrats topped the poll in the City Centre Ward in local elections in Manchester on Thursday 3 May 2007. Hard working local councillor Ken Dobson was re-elected, beating Labour into second place. The turnout was still the lowest in the city but was up on last year.
The Tories came a disappointing third. At the count Ken thanked the residents of the city centre for re-electing him, and his opponents for a hard fought but positive campaign.

Turnout was 16% - the lowest in the city.
